His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, arrived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to attend the World Climate Action Summit which will be held on 1st to 2nd December 2023 during the 28th Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 28). His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam will attend the World Climate Action Summit on 2nd December, along with other Heads of State and Government. Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen. Upon arrival at Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam were welcomed by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs; and His Excellency Awang Haji Harun bin Haji Junid, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the United Arab Emirates.
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was welcomed by His Highness Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates. The Summit will welcome world leaders to present the progress and ambitions across all pillars of the Paris Agreement, providing momentum and guidance for the remainder of the COP.
