On 8 Zul, 1446 equivalent to 6 May 2025, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah presented a total donation of BND119,065.40 to a total of seven families involved in fires and natural disasters; four families received assistance in repairing their houses; and the Tutong New Brothers Association (PESATU). The donation presentation ceremony was held at the Multipurpose Hall, 4th Floor, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex.
The contributions presented are as follows:
1. Contribution of Fire and Natural Disaster Victims
In line with its establishment policy, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah continues to carry out charitable activities, especially helping those who need it most.
Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah presented a total financial contribution of BND26,000.00 to seven families involved in house fires and natural disasters in several villages nationwide.
This donation is an immediate assistance intended to ease the burden of the families of the victims involved in continuing their daily lives.
2. Home Repair Assistance
One of the purposes of the establishment of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah in improving the quality of life and well-being of the people is to provide attention to the basic needs of the underprivileged and in need of assistance, including a perfect and safe place to live.
During this event, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah also presented assistance for the purpose of repairing the houses of four families who were underprivileged and in need of assistance amounting to BND88,871.40.
3. Contribution to PESATU
In an effort to support non-governmental organisations or organisations to improve and develop Islamic teachings, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah provided sponsorship assistance in the form of air conditioners amounting to BND4,194.00 to the Tutong New Brothers Association (PESATU).
The donation was received by Dayang Hajah Rohaidah Anizah binti Muhd Kamsani, Secretary to the Agong of PESATU.
All financial contributions of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah were presented by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports as a Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Committee to Review the Assistance of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
Also present at the ceremony were the Assistant Managing Director as well as officers and staff of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
