In line with the country's strong 'Whole of Nation Approach' in collaborating with several interested agencies to improve Islamic teachings in the country, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah through the mosque prosperity programme has delivered donations to several mosques, suraus and houses of worship nationwide on 26 Safar 1447 equivalent to 20 August 2025.
Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah has donated a total of BND74,500.00 to a number of mosques, suraus and houses of worship throughout the country specifically to hold events or activities in conjunction with Maulidur Rasul Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam for the year 1447H / 2025AD.
A total of 72 mosques, suraus and houses of worship received the financial contribution, namely 28 in Brunei and Muara Districts; 7 in Belait District; 24 in Tutong District and 13 in Temburong District. The donations were received by the imams of the mosques, suraus and worship halls.
The donation to mosques, suraus and worship halls was presented by Yang Mulia Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Religious Affairs as a Member of the Board of Directors of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
Also present was Yang Mulia Dr. Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development as the Acting Managing Director of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
